The technologies that are in every Air For Life product are adapted from the NASA technology that was originally created for the Mars Rover 2020 mission. The technology which we have developed over the past 15 years has allowed us to create one of the smallest yet
most powerful ioniser by using nanotechnology to improve
the quality of life for millions of people globally.
There are two types of technologies that are incorporated
into our products – the AFLPCO® and the AFL PLASMA®.
There are several elements that work alongside the two
technologies, have their own purpose to provide
mountainous fresh air indoors.
Each product has a built-in fan that draws the air into the unit. The air passes through the product’s UV lamp that destroys the contaminants as they pass through, at the same time, the UV light shines on the proprietary nano metal AFLPCO® catalyst which causes a reaction to release human friendly negative ions – this process is known as ionise hydroperoxides.
Ionise hydroperoxides work by targeting and breaking down contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) that are in the air and eliminating these harmful impurities that contributes to respiratory diseases. Once these pollutants are broken down, they are converted into water molecules and carbon dioxide.
TECHNOLOGY
The AFL PLASMA® uses a special carbon brush electrodes that produces negative ions that sanitises and eliminates bacteria or viruses on the surfaces that we touch. This is particularly important as bacteria and viruses cannot be seen by the naked eye and would require specialist microscopic equipment. By releasing negative ions, it destroys these aeroallergens causing matters such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and PM 2.5 that has landed onto the surfaces.
The technology used in our Sanifiers® is a technology adapted from the NASA Mars Rover Program (2020). The Air For Life Sanifiers® uses dual technology known as the AFLPCO® and AFL Plasma® to destroy up to 99.99% of known bacteria, viruses, and airborne pollutants in the air and surfaces by converting them into carbon dioxide and water vapour which are human and pet-friendly.
